Alonissos in the best sustainable destinations in the world

 

Global recognition for Alonissos and all of Greece is the inclusion of the exotic paradise of the Sporades in the list of the best destinations in the world in terms of sustainability, according to the British leading magazine for nature and quality travel, National Geographic Traveler of Great Britain! The long-awaited list https://www.nationalgeographic.co.uk/travel/2020/11/best-of-the-world-2021-sustainabilitypublished each year by the emblematic information group National Geographic is compiled after taking into account a number of parameters and is formed with the strictest criteria at the level of sustainability for the evaluation and promotion of environmentally friendly destinations. Alonissos stands out in the sixth place among the destinations from all over the world that excel in this field for 2021 and reasonably represents all of Greece, as no other Greek destination is included in this year's ranking. Overall, the list includes Copenhagen, Costa Rica, Helsinki, Denver, New Caledonia, Alonissos, Gabon and Freiburg.
